The Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks are proud to announce that they will host the 2027 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men's Volleyball Championship, set to take place from Feb. 24-27, 2027, in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.
The ACAC has established itself as one of the premier men's volleyball leagues in the country, producing some of the top collegiate talent in Canada while also holding the most Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national titles in the sport. The strength of the conference has been on full display in recent years, with the ACAC champion going on to win the national title in each of the past three seasons.
Lethbridge Polytechnic has a history of athletic excellence, including 114 ACAC Championships, 112 Academic All-Canadians and 22 national championships. The Kodiaks are fully committed to delivering a premier volleyball event that showcases the best Men's Volleyball talent in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The last time Lethbridge Polytechnic hosted the ACAC Men's Volleyball Championship was during the 2019-20 season. The city of Lethbridge and communities across southern Alberta showed tremendous support, with multiple games selling out throughout the championship weekend. Since then, the Kodiaks have continued to establish themselves as one of the top programs in the ACAC, consistently competing among the conference's elite and earning national rankings and ACAC medal finishes.
"It is a privilege to have the conference select Lethbridge Polytechnic to host such an incredible collegiate championship," said Todd Caughlin, Athletics and Recreation Services director at Lethbridge Polytechnic. "It's not only an opportunity to showcase the level that the collegiate men's volleyball is being played at but also a chance to highlight the Polytechnic and City to the visiting teams for the week. This will be some of the best men's volleyball played in the country and the gold medal will be presented to the deserved ACAC Champion!"
