DeMarsh and Kenion Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

The Canadian Brewhouse is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Week. Congrats to Sophie and Marley on their selections.

Sophie DeMarsh (second year, Criminal Justice – Corrections, Calgary) delivered a strong offensive performance for the Kodiaks women’s soccer team over the weekend, continuing to be a key contributor in the attack. DeMarsh found the back of the net against the SAIT Trojans, one of the conference’s top programs, showcasing her finishing ability in a tightly contested match. She followed it up with another goal against the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings, helping spark the Kodiaks’ offence. DeMarsh’s scoring touch and consistency were major factors in keeping the team competitive in both fixtures.

Marley Kenion (first year, Child and Youth Care, Coventry, England) of the Kodiaks men’s basketball team made an immediate impact in his collegiate debut, leading the Kodiaks to a 79–62 road victory with an impressive all-around performance. He tallied 18 points on 8-for-15 shooting, grabbed 12 rebounds, and went a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw line in 25 minutes of action. In his first collegiate game, Kenion dominated the paint and provided crucial energy on both ends of the floor. His strong inside presence and rebounding were key factors in the Kodiaks’ win and the reason he was named ACAC Player of the Game for Lethbridge.
