Women's Volleyball take 1st in Preseason Tournament

The Kodiaks Womens Volleyball team headed West to Cranbrook for their first taste of volleyball action for the year and used their depth to finish first in the 4 team tournament that boasted Lethbridge, COTR, SAIT and new comers to the ACAC Ambrose. Using the entire roster all weekend the Kodiaks learned just how deep a team they have, even in the final they marched out a different line-up every set vs SAIT who played their starting line-up from last years roster. The first year players to the program really impressed and all had key contributions throughout the weekend, the returning players were as expected, solid and led by example, at times it took the coaching staff a few points to realize they had all first year players on the floor, and they were winning. Even though the weekend went real well, the Kodiaks still have a lot to work on if they want to get out of the tough South Division this year where all 7 teams have a chance to make the ACAC Championships. Next up is their last taste of preseason when they travel to Red Deer for the Wildrose Classic Oct 3-5.
