MVB - Whitehead earns ACAC all-conference honours

Feb. 22, 2017 – The Kodiaks are proud to announce Dax Whitehead has been named to the 2016-17 ACAC men’s south division all-conference team.

Whitehead, a third-year Geomatics Engineering student, emerged as an offensive power in his third season with the Kodiaks. His .511 attack percentage ranked third in the entire ACAC, trailing only Tristan Simmonds (.680) and James Haythorne (.629) of Grande Prairie. His 268 kills placed him fourth in the conference, while he was 14th overall in the ACAC with 24 service aces.

The Moose Jaw, SK, native helped lead the Kodiaks to a late-season playoff push that fell just short. Lethbridge finished with a record of 11-13, missing the final playoff spot in the ACAC south division by just four points. Whitehead led the Kodiaks in many statistical categories, including kills, attack percentage and total points (323), and was second on the team in digs with 146.

Congratulations to Dax on a terrific season!
