McCoy Basketball Star joins Kodiaks

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks Women's Basketball team is pleased to announce the signing of Miranda Desouza of Monsignor McCoy High school in Medicine Hat.

“We are extremely excited to add a player of Miranda's ability to the Kodiak program,” said Lethbridge head coach Avery Harrison. “She brings a great work ethic and leadership to the team, and she certainly will make us a much stronger team in 2011-12.”

McCoy head coach Janice Laing, a former University of Lethbridge Pronghorn, had nothing but praise for her star guard and team captain. “She has just been an absolute pleasure to coach, and I knew no matter where she went they would be getting a solid player in their pro-gram. Going to the Kodiaks is a great thing for her, and a great thing for our program too.”

If you listen to Kodiak coaches Avery Harrison and assistant Ashley Meeks-King you know they could not be happier.

Lethbridge College will be hosting the CCAA Women's Basketball National Champion-ships next March.
