Kodiaks Land South League MVP

Scott Gieske – 6’7”, Magrath AB – Having spent most of his athletic hours with basketball and soccer, Scott has recently been investing more time on the volleyball court.  That investment has yielded great returns.  In November Scott led the Magrath Zeniths to a South League Post-Season championship, and also a South Zone Championship.  Scott was named the MVP of the south high school league, and at that time was recruited by Kodiaks Head Coach Ian Bennett to give club volleyball a chance with the Junior Kodiaks Program.  Scott has career aspirations to become a chiropractor and will start his therapy path in the college’s massage program.

“Scott has turned down CCAA and CIS offers in both volleyball and basketball for the chance to be a Kodiak.   He has been a pleasure to coach this club season, and has all the tools that a coach looks for: long levers, physically strong, fast arm, and a great teammate.  The sky is the limit for Scott and there is no doubt about his ability to be a force in this league.”
