Kodiaks clinch second in South Division

Story by: Tyler Knee

Heading down the home stretch the women Kodiaks finished their regular season in strong fashion picking up a 71-65 win over Augustana.

This win came off the heels of a disappointing loss to Concordia the previous week.

In typical fashion the women Kodiaks bounced back and showed great resolve in finding ways to win.

The women have lost back-to-back games only one time this year to the South division leading Mount Royal Cougars.

Katheryne Lowry and Lindsey Pierson led the women with strong performances. Pierson finished with 20 points and Lowry netted 19.

With the win the women moved to a record of 13-5 and clinched second place in the South Division of the ACAC standings.

With playoffs and nationals in coming the women will look to stay in top form and continue winning ways.
