Kodiaks appoint new Women’s Soccer Coach
Lethbridge College Kodiaks Athletics is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Morrison as head coach of its women’s soccer team for the 2011-12 season. Morrison will bring 12 years of high-level coaching experience to the program, including five years at the elite level.
Morrison is no stranger to the Kodiaks; he played an instrumental role as an assistant alongside his predecessor, Sean Carey, in the team’s best record of the past five years (4-5-1).
The Lethbridge soccer community is familiar with Morrison through his extensive work for the Lethbridge Soccer Association. He has been the leader in technical and coaching development for the community soccer program, Morrison holds a diploma in high performance coaching, and a bachelor of kinesiology, with a concentration on coaching.
Bill Dean, Kodiaks Athletics Director, is pleased with Morrison’s appointment and believes he will continue to build a strong women’s soccer program.
